2018-year

Hopefully you’re settling in for the holiday season with a warm cup of cocoa, a list of Netflix specials, and a toasty fire fueled by burning receipts. In the meantime, we’re here to let you know that 2018 was our best year yet – we’re growing faster than ever, expanding our ExpensifyApproved! program like crazy, and building out new partnerships around the globe.

Here’s an abbreviated recap of our year so you can get back to doing what you love:

  • We announced four updated plans – Track, Submit, Collect, and Control – so pretty much anyone can incorporate Expensify into their daily workflow. We’re talking self-employed hustlers, freelancers, contractors… even employees of companies who don’t currently use Expensify. Try the plan that’s right for you today – for free!
  • Our ExpensifyApproved! Partner Program grew to include 35% of the top 100 U.S. accounting firms and 70% of the top 10 U.K. firms. In tandem, we built out ExpensifyApproved! University as a one-stop training and certification program for any accountant or bookkeeper who wants to master Expensify and pass along the benefits to their clients.
  • We doubled down on product features that make audit and compliance easy for any Expensify admin. Our Reconciliation Dashboard is the go-to tool for realtime visibility across company card transactions and an invaluable feature around month-end close. Concierge DoubleCheck is an ever-present, AI-powered audit and compliance buddy that automatically flags duplicate receipts, risky expenses, and more.
  • Partnerships-wise, we were named NetSuite’s Innovation Partner of the Year and teamed up with corporate travel management startup TripActions, HR platform Gusto, and VAT recovery providers Global VaTax and Taxback International for streamlined integrations.

I ended up in SF by way of Chicago and Michigan. You can find me checking out new restaurants, watching Netflix, playing soccer, running, or laughing. Sometimes I can do it all at once!
