This week’s Expensifier of the Week is Aspen Heights, a real estate development company that focuses on student housing across the United States, including apartments, town homes and houses.

My college dorm was awful — the rooms were tiny, the walls were thin, and showers took a lifetime to walk to. When I finally moved out, I never looked back.

For Aspen Heights, they couldn’t look away. For them, developing better student housing wasn’t about making places to sleep, but about creating and improving spaces where people live, connect, and learn.  Continue Reading…

After going to market in mid-2013 (their first harvest was in 2011), Uproot’s tech-driven winery has found its way into the premium wine market by word of mouth (also, a feature on the Today Show didn’t hurt either).  Continue Reading…

 MSP Logo black text

This week’s Expensifier of the Week is MSP Leadership, a London based company developing and inspiring leaders of all levels through executive coaching, leadership development and team development workshops.

MSP-Leadership was founded to push the limits of leadership in pursuit of excellence. A former Concur user, expense reports used to take time away from that. The MSP team used to “spend years scanning receipts and filling out spreadsheets,” says Director Aaron Penwill. With more complex reports on their horizon, they knew it was time for a change. As a result of the switch, the team agrees they work at least 20% faster than Concur and 200% faster than their old expense reporting process.  Continue Reading…

It’s no secret that since we opened our doors in 2008, we have relied on our users and early adopters for feedback, which has heavily influenced the way we’ve grown. In the early days, David would email anyone who signed up with Expensify asking for comments, suggestions, and feedback — both positive and negative — and that has allowed us to develop a very loyal base early on. Thanks to the early feedback, we were able to create an employee-driven, bottom-up business model that provides easy-to-use software for the employee while still providing all the features needed by the CTO.  Continue Reading…

For us, we had a vision to rid the world of expense reports that suck.
